There is some interesting news from the world of motorcycles and environmentalism. And hopefully it’s a sign of things to come for companies that do motorcycle shipping to Los Angeles, Seattle, and other major metropolitan areas across the country.
The trend is, however, starting small with places like Wilton Manors, Florida. That’s the town whose police department has become the first in the state to outfit itself with emissions-free, all-electric motorcycles. There’s little doubt that adaptation to those vehicles will happen slowly, but we expect that shipping crates will soon start arriving at other police departments with trial purchases of these green alternatives.
And here’s hoping that the day comes when motorcycle shipping companies and the regional environment both see a healthy boost as well-funded agencies bring in a new generation of vehicles and pack their antique motorcycles into shipping crates bound for the more cash-strapped departments that might benefit from them.
In coming years, there will be many other outmoded technologies that government agencies and businesses will probably want to replace en masse. Soon it will be time for entire cities to pack up their proverbial moving boxes as San Francisco, New York, and all places in between move into a greener world.
